Maybe something big has suddenly gone wrong in your life, or maybe it’s been the slow, insidious burn of unchecked depression, anxiety, addiction, or shame that has chipped away at what matters to you. Regardless of why you’re seeking help right now, I aim to provide a container in which you are supported and empowered to move toward a more meaningful life by doing one small brave thing at a time. Meaningful change is rarely easy, but I try to fuel this process with creativity, intellectual curiosity, and a sense of humor that can be equal parts dark and silly. I use a trauma-informed lens and evidence-based practices–mindfulness, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)--but I won’t shy away from the perfect meme, poem, or piece of music if it’s going to be in the service of your healing. I have experience supporting people navigating their relationship with substances or addictive behaviors, LGBTQ+ individuals, and folks living with disabilities. I'm a kink-aware and sex-positive professional, affirming of both monogamous and non-monogamous relationship structures. I also specialize in working with artists, musicians, and creatives around the issues of identity, performance anxiety, perfectionism, burnout, and the pressure to constantly “achieve.” Before becoming a therapist, I worked professionally as a performer and composer of classical and contemporary music. I often draw on the parallels between creative work and healing: both require vulnerability, flexibility, and a deep connection to purpose.
